Now Accepting Submissions

The Christian Law Institute (CLI) is now accepting submissions for the highly-anticipated Christian Law Journal publication. The CLI Editorial Board evaluates only article manuscripts submitted via e-mail. Manuscripts, articles or book reviews cannot be submitted to the Christian Law Institute through any other electronic service. Paper submissions are not reviewed.

All research articles published by our journal are subject to a rigorous peer review. Unlike many law journals, the CLJ is peer-reviewed by leading experts in relevant fields. The Editorial Board is responsible for the form the peer review process will take.

Manuscript Specifications:

Please do not include your name or other identifying information on your manuscript itself. Instead, enter your name and identifying information in the designated form fields when you e-mail the CLI. Any special requests or instructions should be noted in the e-mail.

The text and citations of the Journal generally conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (19th ed. 2010).

The Journal has a word limit of 15,000 words (including footnotes), and a preference for 10,000 words or fewer. Book reviews have a word limit of 2,500 words. We particularly value brevity so look favorably on pieces that are significantly below the 15,000-word limit.

The Journal uses Microsoft Word for all word-processing. Manuscript submissions should be formatted in 12-point Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins on all sides. Footnotes should be single-spaced and numbered serially.

Exclusivity:
By submitting the article, the author(s) represents that the manuscript has not been published previously and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.

How to Submit:

1. All submissions (with the exception of essays, columns, and solicited/invited articles) must include:
a) a title page including contact information for all authors and a category designation for the article (research report, teaching note, etc.); b) an abstract of one-to-four paragraphs or 100 words in length; c) key words: three to eight words or phrases; d) conclusion: the conclusion may range from one paragraph to several pages in length.

2. To preserve the anonymity of the author(s) during the blind review process, the author(s)'s name(s) and contact info should appear on the separate title page only and not on the first page of the article nor within any running headers in the body of the article.

3. Send the manuscript as an attachment to journal@christianlawinstitute.com. Resumes and biographical information are not required.
